Under ‘Make in India’, the defense sector in Rajasthan is going to get a new identity. After the success of Operation Sindoor, now the construction of state -of -the -art rifles and multi barrel machine guns under the brand ‘Made in Rajasthan’ is going to start from Jodhpur. Jodhpur has got a big achievement in this direction, where the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is now ready to land on the ground. For this, necessary permissions have been received from the Ministry of Defense and the field test has also been successful. This means that now Rajasthan is not only going to register its strong presence in the defense sector of the country, but will also establish ‘Made in Rajasthan’ internationally under the ‘Made in India’ campaign.
Prepared for export, conforming to global standards
According to Ravindra Singh Rathore, the leading industrialist associated with defense startups, the weapons being manufactured under this project have already been tested abroad. The results of these tests have been quite encouraging. The Ministry of Defense has approved this project in two phases, so that these weapons will not only be useful for the Indian Army, but will also be exported. At present, the African country Togo and Asian country Thailand have shown interest in these weapons, which is a proof that this technology of Rajasthan has the ability to compete in the international market.

Military grade sniper rifle: long distance accurate attack
Under this project, military grade sniper rifle is being prepared, which is specifically designed to target long distances. This rifle is capable of achieving the sub-MOA (minute of angle) accuracy, that is, it can target long distances with very short deviations. In the test, this rifle has been successful in firing effectively up to 2.4 kilometers. Also, it is performing stable and consistent in different climate and geographical conditions, which makes it useful on every season and front. Significantly, this rifle will be 100 percent ‘Made in India’, that is, every part of it will be built in the country itself.
Multi barrel machine gun: capable of firing 6,000 rounds every minute
Another important part of this project is multi -barrel machine gun, which is technically highly advanced. This gun has the capacity to fire about 6 thousand rounds in a minute and can kill with accuracy up to one thousand yards. Along with this, it will have the facility to fire ammunition for 15 thousand rounds in a belt. In the future, it will be upgraded as C-Raj (counter rockets, artillery and mortar) i.e. anti-ai -craft weapon system, which will also make it effective weapons against enemy drones and air strikes. This project is also being developed under ‘Make in India’ and its technology and construction process will be completely indigenous.
Network will be built in many cities including Jodhpur, Jaipur
Under this project, various arms parts will be constructed in Jodhpur, Jaipur and other industrial areas of the state. The main production center will be a factory located in the Boranada industrial area of ​​Jodhpur, where the barrels of the machine guns will be prepared. Apart from this, other essential parts will be built in various cities of the state and in the end they will be assembled at a secret place, whose information has not been made public due to security reasons.
Special land sought for gunpowder storage
Along with the construction of machine guns and sniper rifles, the production of gunpowder and pills required for their operation will also be an important part of this project. But the rules set by the Government of India for storage of gunpowder are very strict. Under this, there should be no population in the range of 8 to 10 km of the place where gunpowder will be stored. Keeping this situation in mind, a demand for such land has been demanded from the government, which is in accordance with safety standards and can ensure smooth operation of the project.
Defense from Rajasthan’s land towards self -sufficiency
This new initiative of Rajasthan in the defense sector will not only prove to be a milestone for the industrial development of the state, but will also strengthen the goal of defense self -sufficiency of India. These modern weapons, built under the brand ‘Made in Rajasthan’, will further increase the strength of the Indian Army and give the state a new identity on the global defense map.
