Police came to know during investigation that a bag was disappeared from the G-1 flat, where Sonam stopped. This bag contained about 5 lakh rupees in cash and a pistol, which was purchased from Sikligar.
Shilam was avoiding interrogation for two days
Shillong police said that the accused Vishal had confessed during interrogation that he had planned to kill the king. For this, 5 lakh rupees and a pistol were kept in a bag in the flat. The police suspect that the lock opened with the second key of the flat and took the bag with him.
Shillong Police and Crime Branch had been calling Shileam for questioning for two days, but he did not arrive. After tracing her location on Saturday, the police detained her from Dewas Naka area and took her for questioning.
The SIT of Shillong Police has questioned many people in the city with the help of Indore Crime Branch.
Auto driver confirmed
During the investigation, the Shillong police came to know that the rickshaw of auto driver Sunil Ghavane, a resident of Nandbagh, had booked online on 31 May. Vishal got a bag in the auto and asked him to reach Hirabagh. When the auto reached about an hour later, a young man took the bag and took the bag.
Later when the police searched the flat, the bag was not found there. But on seeing the CCTV footage, Shileam was seen carrying a bag in his car.
In Indore, the Shillong police also questioned the taxi driver who took Sonam to Varanasi.
Search for Guna’s security guard
The Shillong Police has received information that a security guard living in Ashoknagar in Guna also helped Vishal and his associates. The police team can reach there on Sunday. This person was earlier a guard in this building.
On Saturday, Shileam was also taken to MY Hospital for medical examination.
