In Muzaffarnagar, the case of checking the identity at the dhaba is increasing with the political color. After sending notice to the people of Swami Yashveer Maharaj’s team, the police have now filed a case against Panditji Vaishno Dhaba owner Sanvwar, his son Adil, Zubair and two others. He is accused of assaulting Dharmendra, former manager of Dhaba. The FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Dharmendra, stating that he was killed only about this because he revealed that a Muslim named Hindu was running a Muslim.
Notice to six people
New Mandi police station in -charge Dinesh Chand Bhagal said that six people associated with Swami Yashveer Maharaj’s team have been ordered to appear in the police station for questioning within three days. These people were investigating documents related to the identity of the owners of the dhabas on the Kavad Yatra route without the permission of the district administration.
He said, notices can also be sent to other people seen in the video. We are taking this matter seriously and all legal aspects are being investigated. According to the police, Sumit Bahragi, Rohit, Vivek, Sumit, Sunny and Rakesh were identified. All of them are connected to the ashram of Swami Yashveer in Baghra. A employees of Panditji Vaishno Dhaba even accused Swami Yashveer Ji Maharaj’s team of forcibly trying to take paint in the name of identity. However, this charge was rejected by Yashveer Maharaj.
Accused of assault with Dharmendra
Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR in another case, in which Panditji Vaishno Dhaba operator Sanvwar, his son Adil, Zubair and two others are accused of assaulting his former manager Dharmendra. The FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Dharmendra, in which he alleged that he had revealed that a Muslim named Hindu was running a Muslim, which is why he was attacked.
There was a ruckus on Sunday
According to local people, Swami Yashveer on Sunday started a campaign to check the identity of the owners of the eateries located on the Kandar Yatra route. He claimed that it was necessary for the safety of pilgrims. In September last year, the Uttar Pradesh government issued an order that it would be mandatory to clearly show the names and address of the owner, operator and manager to all the restaurants on the journey route. Now the Uttarakhand government has also ordered the eateries located on the Kandar Yatra route to publicly display its food license or registration certificate, on which the BJP and the opposition are face to face once again.
SP raised questions, BJP answered
Former Moradabad SP MP ST Hasan on Wednesday condemned the alleged religious inquiry of the dhaba owners on the Kavad Marg in Uttarakhand, calling it a form of terrorism. He said that in some videos going viral on social media, people have been seen forcing people to prove their religious identity. Hasan said that it seems that the state government is quietly supporting these acts. This behavior is shameful in a secular country like India and it should be stopped immediately. Responding to this, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said, as far as Hasan’s statement is concerned, I want to ask why they want to stand with people who hide their names? They remove their anti-Modi glasses, then they will see the correct picture of the country.
Owaisi also raised questions
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi questioned the matter that several hotels near Muzaffarnagar bypass have been going on for years. Has the Kanwar Yatra just began? It has been coming out peacefully even before. Now why is all this happening suddenly? Now the hotel owners are being asked for Aadhaar card, shopkeepers are being asked to take off the pants. Owaisi also questioned the role of the police. He said, it is the job of the police to arrest those who are harassing the shopkeepers. But here the administration itself is making a spectacle.
He said that the order of the Supreme Court is also being flown. How can someone enter a hotel and ask the owner his religion? This sheer is wrong. Why is the government silent on this? Owaisi’s statement came at a time when many instructions have been issued by the administration to maintain law and order during the Kandar Yatra, but the opposition is constantly accusing the state government of unilateral action against these instructions.
