27 -year -old Salman of Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh was brought to bed by a serious illness for the last six months. Due to illness, his condition was so bad that neither he could get up properly nor could be defecated in general. In his left thigh, there was a huge tumor weighing about 35 kg than pumpkin.

On reaching AIIMS Rishikesh, the doctors were also surprised to see Salman’s condition. There was also a lot of risk in tumor surgery. But the surgeon of the orthopedic department, Dr. Mohit Dhingra accepted the challenge and decided to do the surgery by forming a team. This team also included Dr. Anshuman Darbari from CTVS department and Dr. Madhubari Vathilya from Plastic Surgery Department.

Salman will be discharged soon from hospital

This team of doctors managed to remove a tumor weighing 34.7 kg from Salman’s leg after successful surgery on June 9. According to doctors, this surgery is the first of its kind case in the country, in which such a large tumor was successfully removed.

After surgery, Salman’s condition is now stable and he is slowly getting healthy. Soon he will be discharged from the hospital. Professor Meenu Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Rishikesh and Prof. Medical Superintendent Prof. Satya Shri has congratulated the team of doctors for success in this complex operation.

This case is not only a major achievement for the medical field, but is also the beginning of a new life for that patient, who had once given up before the disease.
