24 important agendas have been approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday. Prior to Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Nitish government has approved many public-centric schemes and gifted various classes. These include pension scheme for artists, Guru-disciple tradition scheme, natural farming for farmers and agricultural schemes, development of Punaradham and changes in the kitchen of Didi. These decisions of the Bihar government are being seen as a master stroke.

Nitish Sarkar has decided to launch the Chief Minister Artist Pension Scheme for senior and economically weaker artists of Bihar. Under this, eligible artists will be given a monthly pension of Rs 3,000. An amount of Rs 1 crore has been sanctioned in the financial year 2025-26 for this scheme. This step is important towards saving the rich cultural heritage of Bihar and financial help to the artists.

Along with this, the Chief Minister’s Guru-Shishya tradition scheme will be started for conservation, promotion and development of art and culture. The objective of this scheme is to preserve rare and extinct art forms of Bihar. For this, the cabinet has approved Rs 1 crore 11 lakh 60 thousand. This scheme will help in preserving the cultural heritage by promoting the Guru-Shishya tradition.

Natural farming scheme approved

The Nitish cabinet has approved many schemes in the interest of farmers. The cabinet has sanctioned Rs 36.35 crore for the natural farming scheme, Rs 80.99 crore for agricultural extension scheme, Rs 30.49 crore for soil health scheme and Rs 41.02 crore for agricultural training scheme. These schemes will help in increasing the income of farmers, improving soil fertility and promoting modern agricultural techniques.

Marriage buildings will be constructed in panchayats

At the same time, Nitish Sarkar has approved the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Mandap Yojana for social welfare. Under this scheme, marriage building will be constructed in all panchayats. This scheme will be helpful especially for economically weaker families.

Big change in Didi’s kitchen scheme

Apart from this, the government has approved Rs 883 crore to develop Pumoradham as a pilgrimage center in Patna. Nitish Sarkar has made a big change in Didi’s kitchen scheme. Now in government institutions, a plate of food will be available in Didi’s kitchen for 20 rupees, which used to get 40 rupees earlier. In this scheme, the state government will give subsidy, which will give cheap food to the common people.

At the same time, under the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, the cabinet has entrusted the responsibility to Saraswati Press Limited of Kolkata for printing ballot for postal ballot. This decision has been taken towards ensuring transparent and smooth election process.

Let us tell you that assembly elections are to be held in 243 seats in Bihar in the end of this year. In the assembly elections, the main contest will be seen between the ruling NDA-JDU and the Grand Alliance constituent RJD-Congress.
