Nathan Lion of Australia has rejected the questions of retirement outright. Nathan Lion said that he wants to retire only after winning the Test series in India.

New Delhi. Nathan Lion of Australia has achieved a lot in Test cricket but his desire to win in India is still incomplete. He has clearly said that he wants to win a Test series in India before retirement. Off -spinner Lion also made it clear that he does not intend to retire in the near future. Nathan Lion has taken 556 wickets in 138 Tests. He has taken 130 wickets by playing 32 Tests against India. Australia has never won the series in India under Lion. He came to India and won the last Test series in 2004-05.
Song master’s responsibility assigned to Alex
Nathan Lyion has handed over his work of ‘Song Master’ in the Australian team to wicketkeeper Alex Carrie, who played this responsibility after winning the West Indies by 159 runs in the first Test. After every victory in Australia, the song ‘Undernith the Southern Cross’ is sung which starts the song Master. Rod Marsh started this tradition and former batter Michael Hussey entrusted this responsibility to Lion.
Lion can overtake McGragra
Nathan Lion said, ‘I played this responsibility for 12 years. This was a great achievement of my career, but leaving it does not mean that I am retiring. Lion is at number seven among the highest wicket -taking bowlers in Tests. More wickets than them, Muralitharan, Shane Warne, James Anderson, Anil Kumble, Stuart Broad and Glenn McGrag have been able to take. Nathan Lion needs 8 wickets to overtake McGragra.
