‘Industry is in confusion’
During a conversation with trade analyst Komal Nahata, Karan Johar said that he never believed that he was entitled to whatever success he had achieved. Karan said, ‘One day on the sets of My Name Is Khan, I thought’ May I know me ‘. I have always believed that I am more lucky than talented. I am a realist, no confusion. Confusion is a disease that has no vaccination. If I had that vaccine, I would have given it to many people in the industry. They are all living in confusion.
Karan Johar further said, ‘We have to be diplomatic. I am not confused I am aware of my films and understand why some did well and nothing did. I am 80% realist. I am 20% ambitious. Sometimes I do not understand these people. I do not understand that these people are lying to themselves or they feel that they have made excellent films. In fact, it is not so.
Karan Johar made his debut with the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ as a director. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukherjee were seen in this 1998 film. This film proved to be a hit. Last time, the film ‘Rocky and Rani’s Prem Kahani’, directed by Karan, was released, in which Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan were seen.
