Yoga is a divine state when consciousness and ultimate consciousness are union. Every living being has the opportunity to achieve this state. Yoga is an invaluable gift of eternal Hinduism and culture for the whole of humanity.
With the untiring efforts of our famous Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the United Nations General Assembly declared 21 June as International Yoga Day. Also supported that “Yoga provides a holistic approach to health and welfare with a balance between all aspects of life”. He initiated a new era of overall health revolution all over the world. Prevention is now being paid more attention to prevention instead of treatment. Today the entire global community is thanking Prime Minister Shri Modi.
We are celebrating 11th International Yoga Day. It is dedicated to the subject ‘one earth, yoga for a health’. Its purpose is to promote the relationship between human welfare and a healthy planet. The direct meaning is that when the body and the mind are healthy, we are able to keep better harmony with our community and environment, we are able to take care of them properly.
Today there is a wonderful atmosphere all over the world. The whole world is doing yoga today. Yoga has supported innumerable people in the world. This is a moment of pride for us. The science of yoga is safe here. Today the whole world society is benefiting from the legacy of yoga philosophy. We are becoming witnesses of this supernatural time. We are full of pride and bliss today. Yoga is beyond the boundaries of religion, caste and color. International Yoga Day is the day to increase the pride of India, as well as a revolutionary step to awaken the whole world towards ultimate consciousness.
It is often questioned what does yoga get? The simple answer to this is that yoga brings peace. The mind and body need peace most. The turbulent mind and uncontrolled body negatively affect the whole society. Yoga is a divine gate that opens towards peace. Concentration grows by peace. After giving a classical lecture on Vedanta philosophy in the Parliament of Dharma, Swami Vivekananda was invited to give lectures on the place in America.
When he reached among the American students, the students questioned that there is no mind in studies. Swamiji’s reply was that the only solution is concentration. This concentration arises from a calm mind. The calm mind is carefully. The calm mind is free from contaminated thoughts. Positive energy is made by peace. This energy is welfare and beneficial for all organisms. A man with a calm mind never takes a wrong decision. When the body, mind and soul become united, where does the question of harm and inaccuracy remain.
In Katha Upanishad, yoga is called the knowledge of controlling the senses. In the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, yoga is said to be disconnected by sorrow .. Maharishi Patanjali describes yoga as the mode of control of the deviation of the mind. Maharishi Arvind has even said that the whole human life is a yoga because many things are combined with humans.
The purpose of yoga is to get entry into the ultimate consciousness. What is this ultimate consciousness that meets yoga? This state is a state when the mind is only with justice and religion. Only values like mercy, compassion, friendship and peace are sharp. This state is mandatory for every human being, whether it is of any religion, caste or community or in any corner of the world.
Imagine that when the whole world does yoga together, then where is discrimination remains. The sense of geographical boundaries in the mind ends. Regardless of any country, the whole world will be one. If the mind becomes uniform with compound actions, then the happiness of the mind remains constant.
It is mentioned in the Indian tradition that nature has taught all yoga postures. It is true that the legacy of Yoga Vidya was almost forgotten. We only need to wake up efforts. Yoga was always present. Look at any religion, yoga will be seen. Yoga and compound actions are deeper than life. Now a new and vigorous start. India’s reputation has been established in the world.
I call all the people of the state to make yoga an important part of their life, so that both body and mind can remain healthy.
