There will be talks between farmer organizations and central government representatives agitating on Shambhu and Khanouri borders at the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration in Chandigarh on 22 February 2025. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will also attend this meeting. In this meeting, the demands of the farmers will be placed in front of the Union Agriculture Minister.
28 farmer leaders of the United Kisan Morcha and KMM held a meeting in Chandigarh on Friday (14 February 2025) in Chandigarh with Kendia Minister Prahlad Joshi, in which 11 issues including MSP were mentioned. There was no result in this meeting, which lasted for three and a half hours. The farmers had warned that the central government should not take the demand for MSP guarantee lightly.
Farmers have been agitating on the Shambhu and Khanouri border of Punjab-Haryana from 13 February 2024 with other routes including the guarantee law regarding MSP.
