The accident took place in CCL’s lease area Karma project. It is being told that many villagers of Mahuatungadi village arrived here on Saturday morning to steal coal. Meanwhile, a large part of coal suddenly collapsed, which many people came in the grip. After the accident, there was a scream on the spot.
Local people themselves started rescue work
According to the information, the local people put their lives at risk and started the immediate rescue work. All together took out three bodies out of the rubble. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Imtiaz (son of Yasin Ansari), Rameshwar Besra and his wife Anita Devi. By the time the news is written, a dead body is still trapped inside the rubble, which is being tried to remove.
Debris being removed from peloder, officials arrived
CCL officials reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Efforts are being made to remove the bodies and intensify the rescue operations by planting peloders. People are angry after the incident here.
Under the leadership of JLKM leader Bihari Mahato, villagers gathered in large numbers and started protests demanding proper compensation for the families of the deceased. Villagers say that until their demands are met, they will not allow the dead bodies to be lifted.
