The police have arrested a suspect in the case of threatening to bomb Shahjahanpur railway station in UP. The accused has been identified as Dharamvir Singh, who is a resident of Mirwaspur village of Kantha police station area and was living in disguise as a monk. According to the police, the accused is addicted to drug addiction and mentally unstable.

According to the report of the news agency, SP Rajesh Dwivedi said that on Friday night, the accused had threatened the Chief Minister Helpline Number and Emergency Service 112 and threatened that he would bomb Shahjahanpur railway station. As soon as this information was received by the police, many teams were alerted and research was started.

The Jalalabad police arrested the accused from his village on the basis of technical surveillance and mobile location. During interrogation, the accused said that he may have made this call in a state of intoxication because he does not remember that he had made such a call.

Police said that the accused Dharamvir Singh is addicted to drugs and used to roam around in disguise as a monk. Initial investigation has also revealed that he is mentally unstable. The police took the accused into custody and conducted a medical examination and registered a case and started investigation.

At the same time, vigilance was increased at the railway station after the phone was threatened and the security forces had investigated the station premises in depth but nothing was found suspicious. SP Rajesh Dwivedi said that such fake threats are taken seriously and no lapse will be tolerated.
