Nisar is actually a joint Earth observation satellite of ISRO and NASA, which will be launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh, India via GSLV rocket around July 20.

ISRO -based important organization SAC i.e. Space Application Center has prepared S Band Radar and NASA’s California -based JPL i.e. Jet Pulsation Lab by making L Band Radar and using both by using them together with Nisar satellite.

This satellite will use double frequency synthetic aperture radar (SAR) i.e. S-band and L-band. The estimated cost of this satellite is $ 1.5 billion (12,500 crores). According to this price, NISAR will be the most expensive Earth-Imaging satellite in the world.

In 2012, a partnership for the launch of Nisar satellite began between ISRO-SAC of India and NASA-JPL of America. In 2014, the launch partnership of the Nisar satellite was signed between ISRO and NASA, according to which it was agreed to put two radars in the Nisar satellite, one of which was decided to prepare at SAC in Ahmedabad and the other in JPL in Radar California.

The successful launch of the Nisar satellite will give information about the Earth’s environment and natural disasters, which has increased not only ISRO and NASA but also the curiosity of scientists from all over the world.

An agreement was reached between ISRO and NASA for the Nisar satellite. Since that time, Dr. Nilesh Desai, director of SAC i.e. SAC ie Space Application Center, associated with this mission, said that two radars are present in the Nisar satellite. According to the agreement, a radar which was to prepare India. He is ready in SAC itself. The second radar has been prepared by JPL in California. Now the satellite with both radars is ready for launch in Sri Harikota. By the end of July, the Nisar satellite will be launched, through which India and America will start getting data in the next one to three months in that direction.

Dr. Nilesh Desai, director of the SAC i.e. SAC ie Space Application Center in Ahmedabad, said, India launched its first active radar in 2012 after 12 years of hard work, which worked for four and a half years. After this success of India, NASA and JPL came to India and started a mission conversation under partnership with ISRO and SAC and said that they have a new radar technology. At that time, India’s radar essence was based on synthetic aperture radar technology, but NASA then had a modern sweep synthetic aperture radar technology and he had a patent. The radar does not get both good resolution and coverage simultaneously but as a solution, NASA had sweep synthetic aperture radar technology.
