The Bharatiya Janata Party has been trapped between the high command and the Sangh for a long time in the Bharatiya Janata Party.
According to party sources, those who had to be given the command of the party could make them clear the message by making them high command executive president in June 2024 that after the organizational election in the party, the command of the party president would be handed over to them. In the same way, after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the party had made JP Nadda clear as the President of Home Minister Amit Shah that the party will be the next president. On January 20, 2020, JP Nadda was handed over the command of the party after the party’s organizational elections were completed.
According to Sangh sources, the Sangh has put its opinion of the party president in front of the party high command long ago. The Sangh has told the criteria for the new president on its behalf. The Sangh wants the new president to strengthen the organization. There is no need to give political messages through the selection of the Speaker.
Actually, along with the election of the new president, there are also changes in the government. From July 4 to July 6, the All India Provincial Campaign meeting of the Union is in Delhi. It will be present in this discussion including Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosbale and Sangh officials including Sahasarakariwah. In this discussion, the name of the new party president may be approved. According to sources, during this meeting, the BJP high command and the leaders of the Sangh can be discussed about the party president.

After the election of the new president, major changes in BJP organization possible
The BJP wants to make the leader who can strengthen and handle the organization. Instead of giving political messages in the selection of the Speaker, it is being said to give priority to the leader who strengthened the organization. The party’s highest deciding organization can be preferred to the strong leaders in the Parliamentary Board. If sources are to be believed, the BJP is not able to form a general opinion between the high command and the leadership of the Sangh regarding the selection of the new president of the party.
After becoming a new president, fifty percent of the national general secretaries can be discharged and young leaders will be given a place as general secretary in the team of the new president. According to the information, the presidents of 14 states have been elected so far. The election is stuck due to the non -conservative opinion in the name of the new president and the state president of important states like Gujarat, UP, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and West Bengal.
Election of president is necessary in 19 states
On Friday, the BJP announced the election officials for the BJP president elections of the states. Kiran Rijiju in Maharashtra, Harsh Malhotra in Uttarakhand, Ravi Shankar Prasad in West Bengal will be Election Officer. According to the party constitution, elections in 19 states are necessary for the election of the national president. After the completion of the election process in 19 states, National Election Officer K.K. Laxman will announce the program for the election of the new national president in the press conference.
If BJP sources are to be believed, for the election of the national president, after the completion of organizational elections in 19 states, it is necessary to hold presidents in the states. So far, organizational elections have been completed in 14 states. Before the election of the National President, the party wants organizing organizational elections in important states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal. The state presidents should be elected in them, so that this message in the country, the party has conducted the election of state presidents of all the big states with consensus in the party.

Discussion on these names in UP
Party sources believed that the path of election of presidents in these states is also not so easy and the biggest reason for this is the social engineering and caste politics of those states. According to sources, the probable name of the state president has been discussed with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the state president in Uttar Pradesh. Not only this, suggestions have also been sought from the organization regarding many Dalit and OBC faces, but the final decision has to be taken to Amit Shah and the Prime Minister.
For the state president, the OBC Chehro, which was discussed on the Livestock Minister Dharampal Singh, the second name is BL Verma, who is the Union Minister, both of them come from Lodh fraternity. The name of former Union Minister Sadhvi Jyoti Niranjan and Rajya Sabha MP Baburam Nishad is also being discussed in OBC Chehro. Apart from this, there are two names in front of Yogi Adityanath’s choice, in which Waterpower Minister and former state president Swatantra Dev Singh, who is OBC and Kurmi is from society and the other is Brahmin face as Dinesh Sharma.
While the former Union Minister Ramshankar from Dalit society is Ramshankar Katheria, who has been the party general secretary at the center. Along with him, the names of Vidyasagar Sonkar and Vinod Sonkar have been discussed. According to party sources, after the Lok Sabha results of 2024, the party high command can claim any OBC.
Picker stuck in Karnataka too
In Karnataka, the BJP has a very difficult situation that BS Yeddyurappa, the biggest leader of the party and the most leader of the Lingayat in the state, wants his son Vijayendra to be made the state president once again. Yeddyurappa also knows that the party’s largest vote bank in Karnataka is Lingayat society, which is about 12 percent in the entire state. At the same time, the big section of the party wants that under the leadership of Vijayendra in the party, the fight between the leaders in the state has increased a lot. At the same time, it is also argued that like Yeddyurappa, there is no popularity and grip of Lingayat society, so any other face should be handed over the command of the state.
The names that are being discussed for the state president in Karnataka are currently the state president Vijayendra who comes from the Lingayat community, Sunil Kumar, who is from OBC society and CT Ravi who was the former party general secretary and from the vokklinga community. There is a big question in Karnataka whether the party makes Vijayendra president or stakes on another face under the umbrella of Yeddyurappa.

Is the road easy in Maharashtra?
The BJP leadership in Maharashtra has already appointed Ravindra Chavan which is the Maratha society. According to party sources, he will be given the command of the party president to Ravindra Chavan. Ravindra Chavan is also close to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is making his way easier to become state president.
Who will be the president in Bengal?
It is not an easy task to choose the president of the party in West Bengal too. Currently, Sukanta Majumdar is definitely working as an executive president but he is also a minister at the center. In such a situation, will the party be able to persuade him to leave the post of minister and persuade him when he becomes a full -time president of the party or will Rajya Sabha MP Shamik Bhattacharya be made the President of the party. In recent times, Shamik Bhattacharya is being given a lot of importance in Delhi.
Apart from these two names, discussion is also going on. According to sources, Shubhendu officer is keen to become the president of West Bengal BJP, but the question is whether the Sangh will agree on it? Because Shubhendu has come to BJP from TMC. Sources also say that the party leadership can handle the responsibility of the BJP president in Bengal against Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal, the two women leaders who are discussing the names are being discussed, one is a locket chatter and the other is Agnimitra Paul.
However, in Bengal, the BJP will have to choose the new president of the party very carefully because the election is next year. It has to be specially kept in mind that before the election, the party is divided into many camps in Bengal and the new president does not increase instead of closing the camp in the party.
Equation of Madhya Pradesh
It is very important to cultivate the caste equation of SC-ST and OBC for the post of BJP President in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, the caste balance has become an important issue regarding the post of BJP President. OBC, SC and ST communities have a large stake in the state’s population which is more than 70%. In such a situation, the BJP leadership is looking for such a face on this post which can represent these classes and can help social equations.

This decision is also important to maintain BJP’s base in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections after the assembly elections and cut the Congress strategy. Even within the party, leaders of different ethnic groups are engaged in advancing their contenders. This election is becoming a test of the social and political balance of the BJP, not just one president. In the race of the state president in Madhya Pradesh, the potential names in the Anu Tribe are Gajendra Patel, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Sumer Singh Solanki and the strong contestants in the scheduled caste are Lal Singh Arya, Pradeep Laria, Harishankar Khatik at the forefront. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav comes from OBC society, so the possibility of becoming OBC state president is less but Kavita Patidar’s name is being discussed.
Patidar can make a face in Gujarat
According to Gujarat BJP sources, the Patidar face from Saurashtra can become the president of Gujarat BJP. In Gujarat, the BJP has always become president of the upper caste (Patidar, Baniya, Kshatriya), this time too, its chance is more. If the Chief Minister is Kadwa Patidar, then there may be a Leuva Patidar face from Saurashtra.
2027 In Gujarat, the election of the new president will be held keeping in mind the assembly elections. The Chief Minister comes from Central Gujarat. The current president is from South Gujarat, in such a situation, Saurashtra becomes important. There is a shortage of Saurashtra leader in the organization due to the death of Vijay Rupani. Party sources are expected to be made from the President of OBC society this time. The front faces in the OBC society are- Jagdish Vishwakarma, Mayank Nayak, Devusinh Chauhan and Dilip Sanghani, Janak Patel in the Patidar society.
When BJP presidents in the states are such a difficult way of elections, then this can be easily gauged, how big a challenge is before the party leadership regarding the name of the national president.
