The Supreme Court has refused to listen to the demand to keep children away from social media. The court has asked the petitioner to submit a memorandum to the central government, calling it a policy subject. The court has also said that within 8 weeks of getting the memorandum, the government should consider it according to the rules."Auto"> & nbsp;
The petition of an institution named Jep Foundation said that a large number of children are using social media due to lack of rules in India and not being strictly followed. Due to this, their intellectual development is being affected. Many times children are unable to withstand the emotional pressure arising from social media and even commit suicide. Div>

The petitioner had made several demands like preventing children from 13 years of preventing social media profiles from making social media profiles, using children between 13 and 18 years of age, using social media under the supervision of parents, using biometrics and other methods to find out the age of social media user and conduct awareness campaigns on the impact of social media."Auto"> & nbsp;
A bench of Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai and Justice Augustin George Christ heard the petitioner’s counsel for a while. After this, he said that the Parliament or the government can take a decision on whatever things have been sought in the petition. Since this is a policy subject, the petitioner should submit his words to the government as a memorandum."Auto"> & nbsp;
