25 days have passed since the tragic accident on the Mujpur-Gambhira bridge in Vadodara, Gujarat. 21 people were killed in this accident and since then a tanker has been hanging on the broken structure of the bridge.
Even after so many days of the accident, the tanker could not be removed from there. Now on the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, a state -of -the -art ‘balloon technique’ will be resorted to to remove the tanker. The work of removing the tanker hanging on Gambhira Bridge will soon be started under the supervision of experts.
How will the tanker be removed from the broken bridge
Heavy machinery cannot be used in this process as the structure of the bridge has become extremely weak. Dr. Nikul Patel, Professor of Mechanical Department of MS University, said that under the balloon technology, the tanker will be stabilized by picking up the tanker in the air with the help of a balloon -filled balloon and then it will be safely removed.
He also informed that scientific use of Archimedies Principal and Bio-And Force will be made in this technique. This operation will be monitored with a drone camera so that any kind of accident can be avoided.
This company gets responsibility
The Vadodara administration said that the Marine Emergency Response Company of Porbandar’s Vishwakarma Group has been entrusted with the task of removing the tanker. This company is the only Marine Rescue Agency in the country and is doing this work under the guidance of the government.
District Collector Praveen Chaudhary informed that the survey and reading work will be completed in the next 4 to 5 days. After that, the tanker will be removed with balloon technology within 7 days. The eyes of the entire state are fixed on this operation.
