Javed Miandad was always named after the Neutral Umpires spoke of biased umpiring in Pakistan. In the 1970-80s it was said that Javed is never given LBW in Pakistan. This thing is not completely but to a large extent.
Javed Miandad played 124 matches in his Test career. That is, a Test match less than Sunil Gavaskar. If you look at the figures of giving LBW out of both these batteries, then the picture becomes clear to a great extent. Miandad was lbw 32 times in his Test career, but this was only 8 times in Pakistan. Whereas there was not much difference in the Test matches played in the country and abroad. He played 64 Test matches abroad, out of which he was lbw 24 times and out of 60 Tests in the country only 8 times. Even in these 8 occasions, 4 neutral umpiring came after the beginning.
On the other hand, Sunil Gavaskar was out 17 times in his 125 Test career. Out of these, he was called LBW on his land more than half of these times. That is, Gavaskar was given LBW in the country more than abroad, which is proof of better umpiring in India.
