The X-poso price of petrol increased from Rs 258.43 per liter to Rs 266.79 per liter, which is an increase of Rs 8.36 or 3.3 percent. Petrol is mostly used in private transport, small vehicles, rickshaws and two -wheelers and has a direct impact on the middle and low middle class.
Levi charge also increases
At present, the government is also charging a tax of Rs 100 per liter on petrol and high speed diesel. In which there has been an increase of Rs 2.5 per liter as a levy. This increase is effective from 1 July i.e. today. However, General Cell Tax (GST) is 0 on all petrol products. The government is charging custom duty on petrol and HSD Rs 19 per liter.
