In the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the police took major action and arrested 10 foreign women on charges of living illegally. All these women are citizens of Thailand and were living in Shakti Heights apartments without legal documents. The police has also registered a case against the landlord and other unknown persons in this case.
According to the agency, the police had received information that some foreign women were living illegally in Shakti Heights apartments located in Malhore area of ​​Chinhat. On the basis of this information, the police conducted raids, in which 11 foreign women were caught in six different apartments. When she was asked how to get the flat, she could not give any satisfactory answer. Only one woman had a rent agreement, while the rest did not find any documents.
According to the police, when documents related to the stay of women were sought from the owner of the apartment, Shakti Singh, he could not provide fare agreement, ‘Form C’ related to registration of foreign nationals (which is necessary under Foreign Registration Rules 14) and other documents related to their stay.

In this case, the police have registered a case against the apartment owner Shakti Singh, another person, and some unknown people and started investigation. The police is also investigating what was the purpose of these women coming to India and whether they were involved in any illegal activity.
Lucknow police say that now they will strictly monitor foreign nationals living in the city. According to police officials, if a landlord keeps foreign nationals on rent without proper legal procedures, strict action will also be taken against him.
