Student leaders stirred up after the video went viral
As soon as the video went viral, there was a stir among the girls and student leaders living in the hostel of Kanpur University. Many regional student leaders went and made a written complaint to Kalyanpur police station and demanded the arrest of the accused.

The university administration also pressurized the police to take action. During this time, the police stopped the video going viral on Instagram ID. After this, accused Prasun Pandit alias Prasun Tiwari was arrested.
