US President Donald Trump again reiterated on Sunday that his imposed tariffs (fees) are necessary for the country’s economic and military strength. He once again warned that if the tariffs imposed by him are removed, America will be completely ruined. The Trump administration is preparing to go to the Supreme Court against this decision.
Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social, “If there were no tariffs and we have not yet collected trillions of dollars, then our country would have been completely ruined and our military power would have been demolished immediately.”
He criticized the court’s 7-4 decision and described it as the decision of the radical leftist group. However, Trump appreciated a disagreeing judge, appointed by Barack Obama, saying that he showed courage and really loves America.
What was the court’s decision
Let us know that on Friday, the appellate court of the US federal circuit called many tariffs imposed by Trump illegal. The court had said that the President does not have the right to impose such a broad and indefinite tariff. However, the court allowed Tariff to remain in force till 14 October, so that Trump could appeal to the Supreme Court.

Even before this, Trump had criticized the court’s decision. He wrote on Truth Social on Friday, “All tariffs are still applicable. A highly biased appeal court wrongly stated that our tariffs should be removed, but they know that in the end the victory will be from America. If these tariffs are ever removed, it would be a big disaster for the country.”
Trump also raised the issue of trade deficit and unfair fees levied by foreign countries in his statement. He wrote, “America will no longer tolerate huge trade deficit and other countries, whether they are friends or enemies, and will not tolerate the unreasonable tariffs and non-tariffs imposed by enemies, which weaken our producers, farmers and everyone else. If it is allowed to remain like this, this decision will really destroy America.”
Even before the court has told the tariff unconstitutional
Earlier, New York -based US Court of International Trade also said on May 28 that Trump violated his rights and imposed these tariffs. This three-judge panel also included a judge who was appointed by Trump. Similarly, another court of Washington also described the installation of tariffs under IEEPA as unconstitutional. So far, at least eight cases have challenged Trump’s tariff policies, including the case of the state of California.
