Former Team India fast bowler S. Sreesanth’s difficulties have increased. The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has now taken action on Sreesanth. KCA has imposed a three -year ban on Sreesanth. KCA said in its statement that this decision was taken in a special meeting of his general meeting in Kochi on 30 April. Sreesanth is currently the co -owner of the Kollam Aris team in the Kerala Cricket League.
Why did KCA take a tough decision?
S. Sreesanth targeted KCA for the Champions Trophy 2025 for staying outside Sanju Samson from the Indian team. According to KCA, Sreesanth allegedly made false and derogatory statements against the association. Two -time World Cup winner Sreesanth had accused KCA, allegedly supporting Sanju Samson during a discussion on a Malayalam TV channel.
For this, KCA Sreesanth was first issued a show cause notice. KCA then clarified that this notice has not been given to support Samson, but rather on making misleading and derogatory comments against the association. However, Sreesanth did not draw his steps back even after the show cause notice, but in an interview, he strongly criticized KCA. He had said, ‘They bring players from other states to play for Kerala, for what? Our Malayali insults cricketers.
Let us know that Sanju Samson expressed unavailable in joining the practice camp of the Kerala team before the start of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. Due to this, he was not selected in the Kerala team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. It is believed that this decision of KCA affected the possibility of selection of Samson for the Indian team for the Champions Trophy. In addition to Sreesanth in connection with the controversial statement, show cause notices were issued to Kollam team, Alpuzha Team lead content creators Sai Krishnan and Alpuzha Repulses.
The statement said, ‘The franchise teams gave satisfactory reply to the notice, so no further action has been taken against them. But it was decided in the meeting that it would be advisable to take a lot of precaution at the time of appointment of team management members. It also said that compensation will be claimed for making baseless allegations against Sanju Samson’s father Samson Vishwanath and two others by making the name of Sanju Samson.

In the 2007 T20 World Cup final, S. Sreesanth had a brilliant catch of Misbah ul Haq. Sreesanth played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20 matches for India. During this, he took a total of 169 wickets. Sreesanth made his IPL debut on behalf of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). After this, he also participated in this T20 league for Kochi Tuskers and Rajasthan Royals (RR). Sreesanth has 40 wickets in 44 IPL matches at an average of 29.9.
