After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Kashmir, tension started between India and Pakistan, which is still intact. During this time, the Indian government banned the social media account of Pakistani artists and channels.
What are the asking of the Cine Association?
Pakistani YouTube channel ARY was among others in the banned account. Apart from this, many Pakistani artists including Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Mavra Hocaine, Yumna Zaidi, Ahad Mir, Saba Qamar, Hania Aamir, Atif Aslam were banned in India. Now slowly, some accounts and channels are starting to appear in India from back. While users are surprised by this, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written a long letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In this letter, the Indian government has been asked to spare people who lose their lives in Pahalgam. It was also said that ‘Our economy and entertainment industry will not be affected if the Pakistani is cut off from himself’. It is also written in the letter that 140 crore citizens of India are standing unitedly against Pakistan. The Cine Association has described the Indian soldiers who were martyred in Pakistan’s attack and every Indian who lost their lives as insulted by the Cine Association.
In its letter, the Cine Association demanded that Pakistani accounts and media channels should be removed from all over the country. Indian media, OTT platforms and advertisements should ban the work of Pakistani people in future. Culturally separation from Pakistan should be announced in honor of the Indian Army and the family of the martyrs. Now it has to be seen what steps the Indian government takes on this.
