Weather forecast today: The monsoon is at its peak across the country. However, rain is awaited in Delhi-NCR for the last few days. Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of rain in Delhi on Monday (July 21, 2025). Apart from this, there are chances of rain in Rajasthan, UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Punjab.
The period of heavy rain has stopped in Uttar Pradesh. However, today i.e. on Monday (21 July 2025), there is a possibility of rain in many parts. In eastern UP, there are chances of showers at some places. During this time, there is also a possibility of cloud thunder and lightning shine.
Rain of disaster in Uttarakhand
In Uttarakhand adjacent to UP, rain is raining as a disaster. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy rains in some parts of the Kumaon region. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar Nagar in Kumaon region.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains at some places in Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts of Kumaon, besides Dehradun, Tehri and Pauri in Garhwal region.
Alert issued in many districts of Himachal
Orange alert of heavy rain has been issued on Monday for 7 districts of Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, yellow alert has been issued for Ona, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Solan, Sirmaur and Chamba, Kullu and Shimla. According to Meteorological Center Shimla, there will be an orange alert of heavy to extremely heavy rain in Solan, Sirmaur and Una and Bilaspur on Wednesday.
Heavy rains flood many areas due to heavy rains in Kerala
Due to continuous heavy rains in the southern state of Kerala, many cities and areas at high altitude have flooded and traffic was disrupted. IMD has issued a red alert for 5 northern districts of the state. A red alert has been issued for the districts of Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod, which has predicted extremely heavy rainfall.
