America has also entered the battle of Israel and Iran. On Sunday morning, the US targeted three Iran’s nuclear bases, Phordo, Natanj and Isfahan- in its air strikes on Indian time. Israel has praised America for these attacks. At the same time, the United Nations expressed concern over American action and said that ‘the risk of this struggle coming out of the hand is increasing rapidly’.
United Nations General Secretary Antonio Guterres said, “I am deeply concerned to hear about the military action taken by the US against Iran today. This is a dangerous provocative action in the region that is already on the verge of stress and is a direct threat to international peace and security.
‘Struggle going out of control’
He said, ‘The risk of this struggle being out of control is increasing rapidly- which can have a devastating impact not only the common citizens but the entire region and the whole world. I appeal to all member countries to reduce stress and follow their responsibilities under the United Nations Charter and other rules of international law.
The UN chief said, ‘It is very important to avoid chaos in this very sensitive moment. There is no military solution to this crisis. The path ahead is only and only diplomacy and peace is the only hope.
Appeal and threat of peace together
While addressing the nation on Sunday, Trump appealed for peace and warned Iran that ‘there are many targets left. If Iran still does not move towards peace, then there will be more severe attacks in future. Trump said that ‘there will be either peace or destruction in Iran’.
