Nawal Kishore Kapoor, accused in the Terror Funding case from Delhi High Court, has suffered a major setback. The Delhi High Court has refused to grant bail to accused Naval Kishore Kapoor. This case has been registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). A bench of Justice Naveen Chawla and Justice Shalinder Kaur rejected the application filed by the accused Naval Kapoor in which it challenged the 19 August 2019 verdict of the NIA Special Court located in Delhi’s Patiala House Court. On 19 August 2019, the NIA court refused to grant bail to accused Naval Kapoor.

Delhi High Court said, ‘This matter is related to a big conspiracy. In the evidence presented in the court, it has been revealed that a big conspiracy was hatched among many terrorist organizations in which he was used to collect funds in illegal ways and was used to carry forward terrorist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir ‘. The High Court said, ‘Accused Naval Kapoor is accused of transporting co-accused Zahoor Ahmed Shah Vatali which further brought the fund to terrorist organizations so that there could be destruction through incidents like stone pelting, schools burning in the Kashmir Valley’. & Nbsp;
Delhi High Court dismisses the argument of the accused The High Court said, ‘The appeal is rejected on the basis of looking at all the evidence. However, the court said that it is clarified that the observation made here is only for the appeal filed in the Delhi High Court and it will not have any effect on the merit of the case hearing in the trial court ‘.
NIA had made serious allegations
Investigation Agency NIA alleged that Hafiz Mohammad Sayeed, who is the head of Jamaat-ud-Dawa and other separatist leaders, including members of the Hurriyat Conference, were combining with active terrorists of various banned terrorist organizations. They were doing illegal methods such as hawala, raising, receiving and collecting funds. It was also alleged that their aim was to fund separation and terrorist activities in the Kashmir Valley. Through the funds collected in this way, he had conspired to carry out stones on security forces in the valley, burning schools, damaging public property and waging war against India."Text-Align: justify;"> Accused Naval Kapoor was arrested in July 2018. The trial court had framed charges against him in 2022. In this case, co-accused Yasin Malik confessed his crime and the trial court sentenced him to life imprisonment.
