All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has made a statement on Friday (September 26, 2025) to ban the entry of people of the Muslim community in the ‘I Love Mohammed’ poster controversy and garba programs. Along with this, he has also given his response to the posters of ‘I Love Mahadev’ in response to ‘I Love Mohammed’ poster.

Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi said, ‘If someone says I love you, then there is any problem in this? What is the problem when writing love? This is the right of everyone under Article-25 of the Constitution (the right to accept, to conduct and propagate his religion). What is the thing to be betrayed by the country? What is it to promote violence in this?

Owaisi targeted BJP over controversy

Owaisi also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over this dispute. He said that the BJP is increasing such controversy. He questioned the BJP that what message do you want to convey to the Muslim countries around the world and especially the country (Pakistan) that promotes terror in our neighborhood? ‘

In an interview, he reacted to the poster of I Love Mahadev and said, ‘There is no problem in writing I Love Mahadev, this is his faith. But it is wrong to do social boycott of Muslims about this.

How and where this poster dispute started,

Actually, the dispute began when a lightboard of I Love Mohammed was installed on the path of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi procession in Kanpur. On which local Hindu organizations opposed it and this created a situation of tension in the area. Later, this dispute was emphasized through social media. #ILovemuhammad began to trend the hashtag on social media platforms.

Owaisi said to ban Muslims in Garba programs

Apart from this, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also reacted to the ban on the entry of Muslims in the events of garba programs during Navratri. He said, ‘The matter of not giving entry to Muslims in garba events is also part of social boycott. He also pointed to the instructions of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), which was asked to ensure only the participation of Hindus in Navratri festivals.
