A fierce road accident occurred in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning, in which three youths died on the spot, while a passer was seriously injured. The accident happened near Rohta block of Meerut when three youths were going to Barot by bike.
According to the report of the news agency, SP (Rural) Rakesh Kumar Mishra said that the accident happened at around 7 am. The three bike riders were going from Meerut towards Barot. According to eyewitnesses, the bike was at high speed and slipped during an attempt to overtake. At the same time, there was a direct collision with a tractor laden with bricks coming from the front.
The accident was so terrible that Shahzad (18), Arshad (19) and Rahisuddin alias Roasu (18) died on the spot. The bodies of the three youths have been sent for postmortem. Police said that a passer -by Rajneesh has also been injured in the accident, who has been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The tractor driver escaped from the spot after the accident. The police is looking for him and is investigating the CCTV cameras installed in the area. This accident has shocked the entire area. There is chaos in the family of the dead. Questions have also been raised about road safety in Rohta region, where such accidents keep coming up.
The police have registered a case against the unknown tractor driver in the case and have assured all possible help to the families of the deceased. Local people have demanded from the administration that strict steps should be taken regarding road safety and strict action should be taken on overloaded vehicles.
