A group of attackers in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal shot a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, injuring him. The police gave this information on Friday (July 04, 2025). Police said that Raju Dey, the Karmakar President of Cooch Behar Block-2 Panchayat Samiti, was attacked near Jhinidanga area at around 11 pm on Thursday (July 03, 2025).
According to a senior police officer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Sukumar Roy’s son and his driver have been arrested from Cooch Behar (North) in connection with the incident. According to the official, & lsquo; The attack was shot on the right shoulder of Day. Party workers took him to a nearby hospital, where his condition is said to be stable. & Rsquo;

The official said that the attackers who came riding in a black car ran away and ran away, which has been seized from the spot. The seized vehicle belongs to MLA Roy. BJP leader’s son and car driver have been arrested.
The official said, ‘We have such witnesses who saw Roy’s son inside the car at the time of the incident and our investigation is still going on.
