Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) has created a stir amidst the possibility of India’s possible military action. POK Prime Minister Chaudhary Anwar-ul-Haq on Thursday indicated that emergency can be implemented in the area if the situation worsened.

In view of the security situation, the entry of tourists has been banned in the nearby sensitive areas of the Neelam Valley and the Line of Control (LoC). At the same time, religious madrasas have been ordered to be closed for 10 days.

The POK government has claimed that in the event of India’s aggression, complete preparations have been made to ensure the supply of food, medicines and other important things. One billion rupees have been transferred to emergency funds. Also, owners of hotels, guesthouse and wedding hall have offered their assets to the army.

Madrasas closed

On Thursday, officials banned the entry of tourists to other sensitive areas near Neelam Valley and LoC. Many tourists were sent back from marble checkpost. Residents in the Lipa Valley have been forbidden to go to the LoC and have been asked to cooperate with the security agencies.

The government decided to close religious madrasas for 10 days on the basis of intelligence, because it is feared that India may target these institutions by calling them terrorist training centers. Law Minister Mian Abdul Wahid said, “We are dealing with a clever, cruel and conspiratorial enemy, which cannot be denied any low act.”

Ban on air services also
Flights have been announced to close 8 hours (from 8 am to 4 pm) every day during the month of May in the airspace of Karachi and Lahore. Along with this, flights are also being affected in Gilgit-Baltistan.

However, the airspace in Gilgit-Baltistan is already closed, due to which the flights from Islamabad to Gilgit-Skardu were canceled for the second consecutive day. In addition, five international and domestic flights in Islamabad were delayed or diverted into other cities due to bad weather.

Pok PM Anwar-ul-Haq said in the assembly that we are ready to deal with every situation. He also said that firing is being done by the Indian Army which has caused damage. At the same time, in an emergency meeting, the hotel associations expressed solidarity with the army and asked to hand over their establishments if needed.
