DU Students’ Union begins with president

Rekha Gupta has studied at Delhi University and she was associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) since college time. He also won the election for the post of President and Secretary in Delhi University Students’ Union. Apart from this, she has been a councilor in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi thrice. He defeated AAP candidate Bandana Kumari from Shalimar Bagh seat by 30 thousand votes.

Rekha Gupta, originally from Jind, Haryana, was born in Julana in 1974. His family shifted to Delhi after getting a father’s job in SBI Bank. However, his family still does business in Julana. Rekha Gupta has to visit her home state due to belonging to Haryana adjacent to Delhi.

National Vice President of Mahila Morcha

Before becoming an MLA, Rekha Gupta has also held important responsibility at the organization level in BJP. She is the national vice president of the BJP Mahila Morcha and is holding the post of General Secretary in Delhi BJP. Rekha Gupta, who studies from Daulat Ram College in DU, has a MA and MBA degree. The special thing is that she has been an active member of the RSS for a long time and has been taking part in the Sangh programs.
