The first tripartite official meeting between China, Bangladesh and Pakistan was held on Thursday in the city of Kunming, China. Senior officials of the three countries participated in this meeting and discussed increasing regional cooperation.
Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Vedong, Bangladesh acting Foreign Secretary Ruhul Alam Siddiqu and Additional Foreign Secretary of Pakistan Imran Ahmed Siddiqui attended the meeting. At the same time, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Aamna Baloch participated in the first phase of the meeting through video link.

Aamna Baloch praised China
In his address, Foreign Secretary Aamna Baloch appreciated China for taking initiative of this tripartite platform. He said, “China has done commendable work to hold the first meeting of the tripartite system.” Baloch said that the shared aspirations of these three countries are about people-focused development. He said, “The three parties have equal desires that the benefits of development reach the public directly.”

Pakistan talked about cooperation
Aamna Baloch also said that Pakistan wants to work towards deep engagement between China and South Asian countries. Apart from these, Baloch also discussed the positive direction of Pakistan-China bilateral relations and said that Islamabad, Beijing and Dhaka are ready to increase multi-regional cooperation.
Aamna Baloch spoke to increase cooperation in the areas of business, investment, agriculture and digital economy, and said that Pakistan is ready to work in this direction with China and Bangladesh.
