US President Donald Trump’s decision to ban the US entry of citizens of 12 countries will come into effect from Monday. This step of President Trump has been taken with the aim of securing the country from “foreign terrorists”. This new ban includes citizens of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Irritriya, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Also, partial sanctions have been imposed for the people of 7 other countries – Barundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela.
President Trump says that there is a big threat of terrorism in these countries, these countries do not cooperate in visa security, are unable to verify the identity of passengers and are negligent in cases of over -living cases of criminals and visas. He described an example of this decision on the incident of a gasoline bomb throwing a gasoline bomb from a Pro Israeli protesters in Boulder, Colorado last Sunday, although Egypt is not involved in this ban.

Part of his policy to limit immigration
Trump’s travel ban is reminiscent of the restrictions imposed on travelers from Muslim-bound seven countries in Trump’s first term, which is part of his policy of limiting immigration in the US. Officers and citizens of the affected countries have expressed disappointment and disbelief on this decision.
There are no airplanes nor the strength to give billions of dollars- Chad’s President
Chad’s President Mahamat Idris Debbie Intno instructed the government of his country to stop giving visas to US citizens. He said, “Chad does not have an airplane nor the power to give billions of dollars, but Chad has his dignity and respect.” He mentioned countries like Qatar, who gifted the royal aircraft to Trump and promised billions of dollars in the US.

Afghan citizens working in the US, who were involved in American projects and were expecting to settle in the US, are now afraid of the ban that they may have to go back where the Taliban may be threatened. American MPs of the Democratic Party have also expressed concern over this policy.
