Tsunami warning for papua new guinea: According to the Geological Survey of America, on the morning of Saturday (April 5), there was an earthquake of 6.9 magnitude on the banks of New Britain Island. After the earthquake on the coast of New Britain Island, a tsunami warning has been issued in Papua New Guinea.
The center of this vigorous earthquake was at a depth of 10 km of the earth, which came about 194 km south-east of Kimbe at 6.4 am according to local time.
The US Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said, “Tsunami waves are expected to be one to three meters. Apart from this, there is a possibility of small waves of tsunami on Solomon Island.”
