In Patan district of Gujarat, two Bangladeshi women have been detained for illegally living in the country and obtaining Aadhaar card through fake documents. SP V.K. Nai said on Friday that the arrested women have been identified as Sultana (32) and Beauty Begum alias Riya Shah (37).
According to the report of the news agency, the police said that these two women illegally entered India in the year 2022 and started hiding the original identity in Patan city. Both of them also got a job in a hotel in Patan. Sultana had also married twice while living in Gujarat, while she has already been confirmed to be married in Bangladesh and a mother of four children.
Initial investigation has revealed that both women made Aadhaar cards through fake documents and with their help, they also transferred money to their families in Bangladesh through agent in Kolkata.
As part of a special campaign against illegal Bangladeshi citizens launched after the Pahalgam terror attack, the police identified 32 suspects in Patan city and were called to the police station for document verification. In this process, Sultana and Beauty Begum were confirmed to be Bangladeshi citizens.
The police officer said that Sultana confessed that with the help of Mohammad Ali, a resident of Bihar, she was able to enter India. He made Aadhaar card and PAN card in Surat and also obtained a second marriage certificate. The police have also received a Bangladeshi passport from him and an identity card issued by the government there.
At the same time, Beauty Begum made Aadhaar card using the address of Danilimra area of ​​Ahmedabad. During the document verification, the birth certificate was recovered from him, which confirmed his being a Bangladeshi citizen.
