Two robbers arrested after an encounter in Ghaziabad, robbery of 7.5 lakhs recovered – 2 Robbers Held After Encounter in Ghaziabad Police Recover Rs 7 Lakh of Looted Cash LCLK

An encounter between police and robbers took place on Saturday and Sunday night in Tila Mor police station area of ​​Ghaziabad, after which two robbers were arrested. The police have recovered Rs 7.5 lakh cash, two indigenous pistols, two live cartridges and two empty cartridges from the robbers.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Shalimar Garden Atul Kumar Singh said that the action was taken on June 10 in connection with the investigation of the robbery from a stamp seller near the Oxy Homes Society. The police had received intelligence that the accused involved in the robbery have been seen in the same area.

The police team started checking vehicles in the area on Saturday night. Meanwhile, a black SUV was stopped, but the driver increased the speed of the car and tried to run away. The police surrounded him with promptness. Seeing themselves surrounded, the two accused who landed from the car started firing on the police.

In retaliation, the police bullet hit the feet of both the accused and they were arrested. The arrested robbers have been identified as 23 -year -old Ankit and Karthik, who are residents of Ghitora village in Baghpat district.

During interrogation, both of them confessed to involvement in the robbery from the stamp seller on 10 June. The police have sent both of them to the hospital for treatment and after treatment they will be sent to judicial custody.
