Two Tanzanian citizens have been arrested from Punjab in connection with a large drug case in Kerala. Both are accused of being the major operator of inter-state drug smuggling networks. The accused have been identified as David Entem (22) and Atta Haruna (21). Both are students in a university in Punjab. A police officer gave this information to a news agency.

Officials said that he was arrested after important information given by two persons arrested earlier in a case registered by Kunnamangalam police. The case first came to light on 21 January with the arrest of Ibrahim Musamil (27), a resident of Manjeshwaram, Kasargod and Abhinav (24), a resident of Velipramba in Kozhikode. During interrogation, the investigators took him to Bangalore on 4 February to gather evidence. In the lodge where the accused stayed, there was a search and information about their associates was gathered.

Police said that by further investigation, the officers reached their co-accused .. On February 12, the police tracked the third accused Mohammed Shamil in Mysore and took him into custody near a hotel near Vrindavan Garden. Further investigation of financial transactions revealed that a large amount was transferred to David Entem’s bank account. Police said that investigators found that this money was withdrawn from Haruna’s account stuck in Noida.

After this clue, the authorities found the suspects in Phagwara, Punjab, where they were living as a paying guest near their college. Police said that after this a special investigation team reached Phagwara and arrested him from his rented residence. The accused will be produced in court on Friday.

After this, a detailed investigation will be done after taking police custody. Police said that this campaign was conducted under the leadership of Assistant Police Commissioner of Medical College Umesh A under the supervision of the holy of Arun, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kozhikode city.
