F-35 Jet was landed at Thiruvananthapuram Airport on the night of 14 June.
The British Royal Navy fighter Jet F-35 had an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport in Kerala on the night of 14 June. This 918 crore aircraft is part of the Prince of Wales Career Strike Group, the HMS of Royal Navy, UK. It is considered one of the most advanced fighter jets worldwide.
The aircraft could not return to HMS Prince of Wales due to bad weather. Now the British High Commission has said that efforts to repair jet are going on.
After the landing, there was a technical fault in the jet, due to which it could not return. The technical expert of HMS Prince of Wales after examining the jet said that the UK engineering team needs help to fix it.
According to reports, Jet will be taken to a separate place in the hangar for repair and overhaling after the engineering teams arrive from Britain to reduce the obstruction in Thiruvananthapuram Airport Operation.
F-35 jet is famous by the name of Lightning
The F-35 model is a short tech off/vertical landing (Stovl) variant of the F-35 model fighter jet, known as Lightning in British Services, is designed to operate from short-field base and air capable ships.
