Bangalore-based Startup Ultraviolet has today introduced its first electric scooter Tesseract in the domestic market as well as new electric bike shocwave Ultraviolette Shockwave. The initial price of this motorcycle with a dirt bike look and design has been fixed at Rs 1.49 lakh. However, this price will be applicable only on the sale of the initial 1,000 bikes. After this, the price of this motorcycle will be Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
Ultraviolet has started official booking of this electric bike. This bike can be booked for just Rs 999 through the company’s official website. It is a lightweight enduro motorcycle that weighs just 120 kg. This bike is specially designed for offering conditions. Which helps it to run easily on bad paths.
Let me tell you, this is the cheapest motorcycle of ultraviolet portfolio. Earlier, the company had introduced the F77 series, which starts at Rs 2.99 lakh.
How is Ultraviolette Shockwave:
The electric motor of this bike weighing just 120 kg generates power of 14.7hp and torque of 505Nm. The company claims that this bike can catch a speed of 0 to 60 km per hour in just 2.9 seconds. Its top speed is 120 km per hour. A 19 inch wheel has been given in its front and 17 inch wheel in the rear. It also has a disc brake of 270 mm in front and 220 mm disc brake in the back.

Ultraviolet claims that this electric bike can travel up to 165 km in single charge. However, it also depends on driving style and road condition. Its front has a 37 mm up-a-side-down (USD) fork suspension. At the same time, monoshock suspension is available in the rear.

Talking about the features, the shockwave has a 4-level traction control system as well as a switched ABS. It has a digital instrument console with Bluetooth pairing for LTE-based e-SIM connectivity and smartphone connectivity. Apart from this, 6-level regional braking system is also available in this bike.
The company has introduced this bike in two color options. In which combination of yellow/black and white/red is available. Like its electric scooter, the company will also start delivery of this bike in the first quarter of next year.
