UP: A stampede due to current spreading in Barabanki’s Awasaneshwar Mahadev temple, 2 killed, 40 injured – Stampede due to Electric Shock at Avasaneshwar Mahadev Temple in Barabanki 2 Dead 40 Injured Lcltm

On the third Monday of Sawan in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, a fierce accident took place in the famous Awasaneshwar Mahadev temple located in Haidergarh area of the district. There was chaos here when a sudden current spread during Jalabhishek created a stampede situation. Two devotees died in this heartbreaking accident, while about 40 people were injured.

Those who died include 22 -year -old Prashant and another devotee, resident of Mubarakpura village of Lonikatra police station area. Both were brought to Trivediganj CHC for treatment.

How did the accident happen?

According to local eyewitnesses, the incident occurred at around 3 am when a large number of devotees gathered in the temple premises for Jalabhishek.

It is being told that during this time a monkey jumped on the electric wire, which broke the wire and fell on the tin shed of the temple complex. As soon as the wire fell, the current shed spread from it, which caused the people present there to panic and caused a stampede. All officers including DM are present on the occasion.

Stampede in Mansa Devi temple of Haridwar

Let me tell you that a day before, there was a stampede in the famous Mansa Devi temple of Haridwar on Sunday morning, in which 6 people died. It was known that after the opening of the road after the Kandar Yatra, a large number of devotees had reached for darshan and there was chaos due to the crowd. 15 people have also been injured in the accident. The administration said that the injured have been admitted to the hospital.
