Weather forecast: After Holi festival, there will be a rapid increase in temperature, due to which people will face more heat. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has already issued alert of heat stroke for many states. Currently a new Western disturbance is active, causing cyclonic circulation in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Bengal and Assam region. Because of this, rain alert has been issued in these areas with storms. Skymet has predicted light to moderate rains and heavy snowfall in the western Himalayan regions Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till 16 March.
On Friday (March 14), the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 34.4 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 18.6 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, light to moderate rain may occur with the movement of clouds in Delhi-NCR during the next 24 hours. However, there is no possibility of any particular change in temperature.
Air quality status in Delhi
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded 170 at 6 pm on Friday (14 March), which falls in the ‘medium’ category. If the level of AQI is between 101 and 200, it falls between 201 and 300, very bad between 301 and 400 and falls in the serious category between 401 and 500.
Weather patterns in Uttar Pradesh
The weather has also changed in Uttar Pradesh. Western UP received strong hail and rain on Thursday (March 13), while the rest of the areas were cloudy. On the day of Holika Dahan, many districts recorded rain with strong winds. IMD has predicted light to moderate rain and hailstorm in the next 24 hours in western UP. Although the movement of clouds will remain in Bihar, there is no big rain alert.
Rain and drizzle estimate in Rajasthan
Due to the effect of western disturbance in Rajasthan, there is a possibility of light rain and drizzle in Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions. On March 14-15, Bikaner, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions are expected to roar at the afternoon and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. On March 16, light rain may occur in the northern parts of Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions. It is possible to drop by 2-3 degrees in Rajasthan’s temperature in the next 48 hours.
Heavy snowfall and rain in Kashmir
The height areas of Kashmir received snowfall and heavy rains in the plains. In view of the snowfall and avalanche threat in Gurez, the school has been ordered to be closed by March 15. The Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall in light to moderate rains and height areas in most places till morning (15 March) morning.
Heavy rain and snowfall alert in Himachal Pradesh
In Himachal Pradesh, heavy rains, thunderstorms and lightning have been expected on Saturday and Sunday (March 15). A ‘yellow’ alert of heavy rains and thunderstorms has been issued at different places in Chamba, Kangra and Kullu districts. There is a possibility of light to moderate snowfall in Manali, Narkanda, Kufri, Solang Valley and Sissu.
Danger of heat wave in Jharkhand
The weather in Jharkhand is continuously getting hot. The Meteorological Department has issued a ‘yellow’ alert of heat in many areas of the state for the next four days. The maximum temperature in Palamu, Garhwa, Dhanbad and Bokaro can go from 40 to 42 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Center at Ranchi has predicted the temperature by 2-3 degrees in the next three days. West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan are expected to run in West Singhbhum till 17 March.
