Weather forecast: In most parts of North India, strong winds are blowing due to the influence of western disturbances. However, the temperature has not dropped much due to the recent rains. According to Skymet’s forecast, there may be light showers with thunderstorms during the next 24 hours in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Pollution level in Delhi
The Air Quality Index (AQI) 148 was recorded in Delhi at 12:30 pm which falls in the ‘medium’ category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, if AQI lives between 101 and 200 then it falls in the middle category.
Rising temperature in Uttar Pradesh
The temperature in Uttar Pradesh has reached above 30 degrees Celsius. Wish winds are moving at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour, due to which the weather is starting to heat up. In the coming days, the intensity of sunlight is likely to increase, due to which people may face scorching heat.
How will the weather be in Punjab and Haryana?
Light cold can be felt in Pathankot, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Karnal and surrounding areas of Punjab and Haryana. The minimum temperature can fall by 7-8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will be between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. In some districts of Haryana, the recent rains and hailstorms have damaged wheat and mustard crops.
Weather conditions in Bihar and Rajasthan
There are less chances of rain in Bihar, but many areas may be cloudy. On March 8 and 9, due to the effect of western disturbance, many districts including Patna can cause light drizzle. At the same time, there may be movement of clouds in some parts in Rajasthan, but the weather will remain normal.
Snowfall and rain again in Kashmir
The height areas of Kashmir have received fresh snowfall while many parts of the valley recorded rain. In many areas including Srinagar, day temperature has declined by 3 to 9 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry till March 10.
Heavy snowfall alert in Himachal Pradesh
There has been snowfall in the upper areas of Chamba, Kullu and Kinnaur districts of Himachal Pradesh. ‘Orange Alert’ has been released in view of the possibility of fast snowfall in Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur districts. Due to landslides and sudden floods in some areas of the state, roads have been closed, which is going on to restore. Keylong was the coldest place in Lahaul and Spiti, where the temperature was recorded at -10.2 degrees Celsius.
