Weather forecast: The weather has turned in North India due to the active western disturbance. Light to moderate rain and snowfall are expected in many states with the movement of clouds. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), clouds will continue to come with winds till Holi and some areas may rain.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rains and thunderstorms in the next 24 hours in the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala and Lakshadweep. According to Skymet, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh are expected to have light to moderate rains and snowfall. At the same time, light rain and snowfall are also estimated in Sikkim and Uttarakhand. Due to snowfall, the minimum temperature in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh can go below zero, which will keep the coolness throughout the day.
Changed weather and rising temperature in Delhi
Delhi was seen in light sunlight on the morning of Tuesday (March 11), while the minimum temperature was recorded at 15.7 degrees Celsius, which is 1.7 degrees above normal. IMD has predicted strong winds throughout the day on Wednesday (March 12). At the same time, the maximum temperature can reach 34 degrees Celsius. From March 13, the weather of the capital will change and on the day of Holi, clouds and light rain can be seen.
Delhi’s growing pollution level concern
On Tuesday (March 11) at 9 am, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 283 which falls in the ‘poor’ category. It was 197 on Monday (March 10) i.e. in the ‘medium’ category. According to the AQI level, between 201 and 300, ‘bad’ is considered ‘very bad’ between 301 and 400 and ‘serious’ between 401 and 500. In view of the increasing level of pollution, people have been advised to remain active.
Weather conditions in UP, Bihar, Haryana and Punjab
On the day of Holi, light rains are expected in many districts of Aligarh, Bareilly, Moradabad, Shahjahanpur, Agra, Rampur, Bahraich, Bulandshahr, Mathura and Hathras. After this, the temperature will increase, which will speed up the heat. The same situation will be seen in Bihar, Haryana and Punjab as well. According to the Meteorological Department, on the day of Holi, the fun of rain colors can fade.
Fierce heat in Rajasthan, indications of light rain in some areas
The heat in Rajasthan is increasing rapidly. On Tuesday (March 11), the maximum temperature in Barmer was recorded at 41 degrees Celsius, which was 7.5 degrees above normal. Jalore recorded 40.1 degrees, Jaisalmer 39.5 degrees, Jodhpur 38.1 degrees and Bikaner was recorded at 38 degrees. During March 13 to 15, due to western disturbance, light rain and drizzle may occur in some areas of the state. On March 14, there is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorms in Jaipur, Bikaner and Bharatpur divisions after noon.
Tamil Nadu alert of scorching heat
The outbreak of heat in Tamil Nadu is increasing. The maximum temperature will remain between 36 and 40 ° C. The temperature in Chennai can reach 36 degrees, with an increase of 2 to 4 degrees in the next few days. However, light rain is likely in some parts of the state next week. By March 13, the maximum temperature will remain between 32 to 36 degrees Celsius.
