Due to this, the outbreak of dense fog and cold wave in these states can also increase. The temperature in Gulmarg of Jammu and Kashmir has reached -2 ​​° C, which is facing difficulties.
The weather has been clear in Delhi-NCR for the last few days and morning sun has given relief to the people from the cold, but in the evening, the effect of the cold starts again. The Meteorological Department has warned of a drop in temperature in Delhi in the coming days. Due to the active western disturbance, there is a possibility of rain in the national capital, which may increase the cold.
Cold wave in UP-Bihar
In many districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, cold has increased in the morning and evening. Visibility has decreased due to dense fog, due to which people are having trouble in traveling. IMD has issued fog yellow alert in many districts including East and West Champaran, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Supaul, Purnia and Kishanganj. The effect of cold wave continues in cities like Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Meerut and Gorakhpur.
Fierce cold in Rajasthan and Kashmir
Rajasthan is expected to rain in the first week of February. At the same time, minus temperature and snowfall in Gulmarg of Jammu and Kashmir has increased the difficulties of the local people. Western disturbance will increase cold
According to the Meteorological Department, a western disturbance is developing as a cyclonic circulation in eastern Afghanistan which can affect northwest India. Between 1 and 3 February, two new western disturbances are likely to be active, which may increase rain and cold.
Air quality in Delhi is very bad
The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.5 degrees Celsius on Friday (31 January) in the national capital Delhi, which is slightly higher than normal. However, the Air Quality Index (AQI) 349 was recorded which falls in the ‘very poor’ category. Due to increasing cold and pollution, Delhiites need to be cautious.
