The budget session of UP Assembly is starting from today. This time another new experiment will be seen in the budget session. On the lines of the Lok Sabha, now the UP MLAs will be able to speak and listen to the regional languages ​​(English, Awadhi, Braj, Bundelkhandi and Bhojpuri) in the assembly. For this, translator of five languages ​​will be seated in the House. MLAs will be able to listen to the proceedings of the House in their language by setting up the channel of interpreter on their headphones. At the same time, the SP has planned the government to surround the stampede in Mahakumbh.

According to UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, the assembly of UP will be the first such assembly in the country which will be equipped with such facility. Today, this arrangement will be proposed before the Rules Committee. After this, the system will be implemented with approval from the House.

CM Yogi along with the Speaker has reviewed the rehearsal of translation of Awadhi, Braj, Bhojpuri, Bundelkhandi and English languages ​​in the Assembly. Also, the Speaker of the Assembly also saw the entire process.

Prior to the all -party meeting, a meeting of the Working Council Committee was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, in which the proposed program of the budget session from February 18 to March 5 was approved.

Budget will be presented on 20 February

It was decided in the meeting that the budget session will begin on 18 February 2025 at 11 am in the joint meeting of the Legislature with the address of Governor Anandiben Patel. Members of both houses will be present during this period. From 19 February to 21 February, there will be legislative works with discussion on the vote of thanks for the Governor’s address in the House. Meanwhile, on February 20, at 11 am, the government will present the budget for the next financial year (2025-26).

The budget of UP is estimated to be around seven and a half lakh crores. The budget will be discussed in the House on 24, 25, 27 and 28 February. Similarly, on the three, four and 5 March 2025, the demands of budget grants in the assembly will be discussed. On March 5, 2025, the government will pass the budget for the next financial year in the House. In the meeting of the Working Committee, it has been agreed to place two ordinance (Uttar Pradesh Municipal Planning and Amendment) Ordinance 2025 and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Ordinance 2025) during the session.

Opposition made a plan to surround the government

Apart from this, there is a possibility of strong uproar in the House as soon as the assembly session starts today. The opposition has made a plan to surround the government seeking discussion on the issue of Mahakumbh and Sambhal violence.

At the same time, SP had called an important meeting on Monday under the chairmanship of Akhilesh Yadav regarding the budget session. In this meeting, there was a discussion about the agenda of the party in the Assembly and the Legislative Council.
