Two girl students studying in college in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh have been arrested for stealing gold jewelery worth Rs 7.5 lakh from a house. The incident took place in Shastri Nagar area on Monday, after receiving the complaint, the police started investigation and caught the accused.

According to the police, the complainant Kanchan Gangwar told the police that his son Shaurya was about to go out of the house on Monday. During the investigation, the police received information that two women have been seen near the old railway lines near Izatnagar railway station with stolen jewelery. Acting on this information, the police raided there and arrested 20 -year -old Tulsi and 21 -year -old Shivani alias Shyam Mala.

What was recovered?

During the arrest, the police included six rings from both the students, a necklace (necklace), a mangalsutra, a ‘Om’ locket, a ‘jhala’ (traditional jewelery) and a gold chain. The total weight of the recovered gold is about eight tolas, which cost about 7.5 lakh rupees.

College girls came out thieves

Police investigation revealed that Tulsi and Shivani are residents of Shisgarh area of ​​Bareilly and are studying BSC. The purpose of theft is not yet completely clear, but the police suspect that they joined the incident due to financial constraints.
