A sensational case has come to light from Indira Nagar police station area of Lucknow. Fed up with a domestic dispute here, the wife strangled her husband to death and escaped from the spot. However, the police took quick action and arrested the accused woman the next day.
Actually, the case is of Chandan village. Where Sitapur resident Mauji Lal lived in a rented house with his wife Sarojini Devi and younger daughter Roli. Mauji used to work as a red junk and was addicted to alcohol. There were quarrels between husband and wife. Late on Thursday, around one o’clock in the night, Mauji Lal returned home drunk and started to dispute with Sarojini.

Angry Sarojini strangled her, causing Mauji Lal to die on the spot. After this, she escaped leaving the daughter in the house. The next morning, the deceased’s father Medulal lodged a complaint with the police station. The police registered a case and started the search and arrested Sarojini from Bajrang intersection on Saturday afternoon. A post -mortem of Mauji Lal’s body has been handed over to the family members.
According to Inspector Indira Nagar, Sarojini had contact with Arjun Yadav, a resident of Sugamau. There was often a dispute between husband and wife about this. About a year ago, Mauji Lal caught him talking on mobile and broke the phone, but the relationship did not end. Son Ankul told the police that two days before the murder, the mother had sent him to the village on the pretext of seeing the field.
Neighbors said, noise was heard from the house at around 1.30 pm of the incident. By the time people arrived, Mauji Lal had died and Sarojini was missing. At present, the police have arrested the accused wife and sent them to jail and the case is being investigated further.
