UP: Fierce explosion in Amroha’s illegal cracker factory, four women killed, dozens of injured – 4 women killed over dozen injured in blast at firecracker factory in Amroha Up LCLK

A horrific explosion occurred on Monday in an illegal cracker factory located in a dense forest area in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, in which four women died on the spot and more than a dozen people were seriously injured. At the time of the accident, about 25 men and women were working in the factory.

The explosion was so powerful that the entire structure made of tin roof was shattered and its debris was scattered 300 meters away. Panic spread in the surrounding villages after hearing the echo of this blast. Local people said that after the explosion, the sounds of small blasts continued for about 15 minutes.

District Magistrate Nidhi Gupta and Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Anand reached the spot and took stock of the situation and confirmed the death of four women. More than 12 injured people have been admitted to the district hospital, in which many are in critical condition.

According to eyewitnesses, soon after the explosion, the villagers reached the spot and helped to evacuate people from the debris and informed the administration. Later, teams of police, administration and fire department reached the spot and started relief work.

The administration has ordered a high -level inquiry to investigate the validity of the factory and security standards. At present, it is being suspected that this factory was being operated illegally and work was going on in it for recent days.
