UP: Fourth class child harassed by senior students, ruckus outside the school – 12 year old boy alleges harassment by senior students in Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh lclk

In Gorakhpur, UP, the case of harassment of a fourth class child by senior students of a school took the form of tension. After allegations were made by the student’s family, the police pacified the protesters. According to the police, the student’s father along with relatives and local people protested on the school premises.

According to the news agency report, as soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and pacified the people. Based on the family’s complaint, a case has been registered against the accused students of classes seven and eight under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) Act.

It has been said in the complaint that the student was being harassed by senior students for the last 15-20 days. It is alleged that the students threatened him and warned him not to tell anyone about this. Due to fear, the student stopped going to school and finally narrated his ordeal to his parents.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the student’s family reached the school on Friday and demanded strict action against the culprits. Rajghat police reached the spot to handle the situation and assured the protesters that the matter would be investigated.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the school administration has suspended the accused students. Regarding this matter, SP City Abhinav Tyagi said that a case has been registered under the POCSO Act. He said that the investigation is ongoing and further action will be taken on the basis of the medical examination report.
