In Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Ulema Qari Isaac Gora of Deoband has given a big statement on the ‘I Love Mohammed’ poster controversy, giving the message of love and brotherhood. He said that ‘love’ is not a crime, but the biggest need of human being. Describing the lathicharge incident in Bareilly as regrettable, he questioned whether you will have to face punishment even if you express love?
Qari Isaac Gora said that Hindustani has always been hungry for love. If they are talked to lovingly, they are ready to die. Today, the country is not hated, but love and brotherhood are most needed. He clearly said that making love a crime is dangerous for both society and the country.

He also commented on the incident in Saharanpur on Friday, saying that the young man who tried to show the poster had only wanted to express his love. Although the atmosphere was already tense and the police-administration was present, so in such a situation such steps should have been avoided.
Kari Gora appealed to the people to express their love with heart, there is no need to spoil the atmosphere with posters and conflicts. Islam never training violence, but teaches to work with peace and patience. He said that it is against the training of Islam to hurt anyone with their hands, tongue or alphabet.
He further said that Hindustan has always been an example of brotherhood and religious respect. Here people have been respecting each other’s religious sentiments and the same tradition should be maintained further. Qari Isaac Gora reiterated that do not make “love” a crime, love is the way on which the identity of India rests.
