A case has been filed against a young man for making the family photo of Kisan Morcha district president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arjun Kumar Chauhan on social media in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. The police took this action on the basis of the FIR lodged at Revathi police station on Friday.
Police complaint
Arjun Kumar Chauhan has alleged in his complaint that a person named Shailesh Kumar Pandey posted a private photo of him and his family on Facebook and also wrote objectionable and derogatory remarks with him. Chauhan said that this has damaged his image and his family’s feelings have also been hurt.
Kisan is the district president of the front
Arjun Chauhan has been the District General Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha twice and is currently the district president of Kisan Morcha as well as Bishunpura Gram Panchayat. He has demanded strict action from the police so that someone should think before doing such an act.
Revathi police station in -charge Prashant Kumar Chaudhary said that in view of the seriousness of the case, the police has immediately registered a case and investigation has been started. He said that digital evidence is being investigated and social media account is also being investigated. Soon the accused can be called for questioning.
Police say that the matter is related to the IT Act and defamation, and strict action will be taken on the basis of technical evidence. The officials have also appealed to the common people not to use social media carefully and do not violate anyone’s privacy.
